In-Company Training abroad Brussels (On-site)

A unique opportunity to discover Brussels and get to know its job market, through a visit at some of the top stakeholders.

The In-Company Training abroad in Brussels will focus on Public Affairs and it includes two different tracks:

  • Track One: Dods Group, FleishmanHillard, Harwood Levitt Consulting, and EU Commission 
    15-17 November 2023
  • Track Two: FTI Consulting, DG FISMA (TBC), DG ECFIN, and BCW (Burson Cohn & Wolfe)
    15-17 November 2023

The program will include:

  • Company presentations
  • Workshop/Panels with Junior and Senior professionals
  • Q&A sessions and career opportunities

The students will spend half a day and/or a full day in each of the companies of the track they have been selected for.

The event will be held on-site in Brussels from November 15th to November 17th, 2023.

Travel and accommodation expenses shall be borne by participants responsible for their arrangements. Participants are also responsible for the following costs:

  • Visa fees to enter the country of destination (when required)
  • Health insurance (when required)
  • Meals and extra costs (when not included)

Application details:
The program is dedicated to 40 students with a strong interest in Public Affairs, fluent in English, curious and open minded. Students can apply to both tracks or just one, according to their interests, and they will be selected for one group only. The two groups will have 20 participants each.

Eligibility:

  • 1st, 2nd-year students that will be regularly enrolled in a Bocconi Master of Science Degree Course in the a.y. 2023-2024
  • 2nd-year students that are regularly enrolled in a Bocconi Master of Science Degree Course in the a.y. 2022-2023, graduating within March 2024
  • 3rd-year students that will be regularly enrolled in a Bocconi Bachelor Degree Course in the a.y. 2023-2024
  • 4th-5th-year students currently and regularly enrolled in the Bocconi Integrated Master of Arts in Law in the a.y. 2023-2024 

GPA: minimum 22/30 (average weighted on credits).

Language requirements:
Applicants whose native tongue is not English have to prove a good knowledge of the English language through one of the following options:

  • Enrolment in a program taught in English
  • Bocconi English exam of Level C1
  • Other certificates accepted by Bocconi Language Center at the C1 level (for the list of the certificates accepted and correspondent level, refer to the table)

The results of the selection will be communicated via e-mail by Friday, 20 October 2023.

Students' responsibility

Before applying, please note that it is the students' responsibility to:

  • Verify personally, with the authorities of the host country, the suitable procedures for obtaining the appropriate visa, if required, and any other necessary documentation in full compliance with local laws. All formalities relating to visas and other documents required to enter the country are the responsibility of the student.
  • Read the “Bocconi Students Travel Risk Policy” (available on yoU@B), and comply with the risk mitigation measures suggested.
  • Access, through yoU@B diary, the Travel Risk Awareness Elearning, and the International SOS Member’s portal, which includes Country Guides and Travel Security and Medical Risk Ratings.
  • Check and follow all the travel recommendations of your Country’s Ministry for Foreign Affairs and International SOS.
  • Check all the Covid-19 Procedures to enter the host country and re-enter your home country.

Please, be also aware that Bocconi University reserves the right to cancel the program if exceptional circumstances occur before or during the carrying out of the program.
Travel and health risks can rapidly change and lead Bocconi University and hosting Institutions/Companies or Countries to increase travel and health restrictions. In any case, Bocconi University does not guarantee that the In-Company Training will take place if the general conditions do not safeguard the well-being and safety of students.
