LLM in Law of Technology and Automated Systems

The LLM in Law of Technology and Automated Systems is a Specialized Master program taught entirely in English, offered both full-time (12 months) and part-time (2 years). Students may also pursue a dual program with King’s College London.

The program focuses on all key areas of interest for lawyers and legal practitioners managing the impact of digital transformation and implementation of disruptive technologies.

Program at Bocconi University

Bocconi offers both a full-time option (12 months) and a part-time option (2 years). Both programs have the same structure: compulsory and electives courses, in addition to an internship, clinical work, or an individual research paper to complete the program.

Dual Program with King’s College London

This prestigious program tailored for legal professionals allows students to spend one semester each at Bocconi and King's College London. At the program's conclusion, students will obtain a 2nd-level Specialized Master in Law of Internet Technologies and Automated Systems in Italy, as well as an LLM in Law, Innovation and Technology issued in the UK.

Full-time Option

Dates: September 2025–July 2026

Duration: 7 months class attendance + 2-3 months final project or internship 

Requirements:

  • degree in law or in a closely related field
  • at least B2 English level

Duration: class attendance from September 2025–April 2027, and final project or internship between May–July 2027

You may apply by one of the two application deadlines, submitting either the GMAT/GRE or taking the online Bocconi test.

Financial Aid

To cover tuition and fees, students with EU and UK citizenship can ask for low-interest loans to credit institutes with which Bocconi University has special agreements.

A number of tuition waivers are offered by the LLM's corporate partners. Full or partial waivers cover the program's annual tuition fees, and are assigned exclusively based on merit after applicants confirm their enrollment.
