Placement

According to the 2021-2025 Graduates Survey (response rate: 69%), 51.5% of the respondents are employed in universities or research institutions; a further 3.0% work in Central Banks, the IMF or the World Bank, so that in total about 55% of graduates hold research-oriented positions. 35.3% of respondents work abroad. A further 52.9% work in Italy outside Bocconi and 11.8% at Bocconi.

Notable placements include one graduate who defended in 2020 and was hired as researcher in Business Law at Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies of Pisa, one who defended in 2021 and was hired as Assistant Professor at UCL, one who defended in 2022 and was hired as Assistant Professor at Maastricht University, and three others who defended in 2025 and obtained positions at the University of Pisa (post-doc), the University of Amsterdam (assistant professor), and the IEP at Bocconi University (post-doc, with funding from the European Investment Bank). Among noteworthy placements are two non-academic positions, namely at the Directorate General of Administration of the Council of Europe and at the Single Resolution Board.
