The legal experts of tomorrow will be expected to operate effectively across public and private organizations, global business enterprises and national and international institutions. This program aims to address the evolving demand for those legal experts who transcend traditional regulated professions (i.e. attorneys, judges, notaries public).
Two main job profiles will be developed:
Professionals in Global Governance, Policy and Legal Strategy
Graduates will be able to act as policy advisors, governance strategists, legal analysts or regulatory experts, contributing in designing, implementing and assessing policies and strategies within governmental, international or other institutional frameworks. Their role may include advising decision-makers, shaping regulations and negotiating agreements.
Skills will be developed in addressing global challenges and influence decision-making thanks to their competences at the intersection of governance, law and policy.
They may work in international organizations, governmental agencies, non-governmental organizations, think tanks, research institutes or legal and consulting firms.
Professionals in Corporate Compliance, Stakeholder Relations and Risk Management
Graduates will be able to act as compliance officers, corporate legal advisors, stakeholder relations managers or risk management consultants, responsible for ensuring that businesses comply with regulatory frameworks, maintain ethical standards and foster positive relationships with stakeholders. They will play a key role in advising companies on legal obligations, managing disputes and overseeing business practices to align with legal and ethical guidelines.
Skills will be developed in handling complex legal, regulatory, and ethical challenges in business by means of balance of legal knowledge, stakeholder management and strategic thinking.
They may work as Corporate Compliance Officers and Legal Officers and In-House Counsel in corporations and large enterprises; In-House Counsel and Transactional Lawyers at small and medium-sized enterprises; Risk Management Consultants at consulting and auditing firms. They may also work as HR Managers or Labor Relations Specialists in human resources departments at companies; Dispute Resolution Specialists at alternative dispute resolution firms or legal departments; Consumer Protection Officers at consumer protection agencies or corporate legal departments; Privacy and Data Protection Officers at technology companies or organizations handling sensitive data; Administrators, supporting the fulfilment the institutional duties owed by national and supranational institutions and their members at Parliamentary and governmental bodies, independent authorities and agencies.
