Who is an IT tutor?

A tutor is a student who passed the Computer Science or Computer Science course for law (Informatica per giurisprudenza) exams in a brilliant way, who went through a recruitment process and who collaborates with the IT Education Center, helping students and professors during both curricular and extracurricular courses and with other activities related to IT teaching, providing assistance to students and professors.

 

Do tutors receive payment?

Yes, tutors are paid per hour. Being a tutor does not allow students to receive academic credits.

 

Is the time requested compatible with the student schedules?

The tutoring work involves a certain number of hours per week (approximately from 2 to 8 hours) and can vary according to the needs of the moment. Nevertheless, shifts are arranged ahead of time to be compatible with students schedules.

 

What skills are requested?

The tutor performs an important support function for both teachers and students and must guarantee the utmost seriousness and commitment. The following are required: preparation, reliability, punctuality, accuracy, flexibility, availability, and willingness.

Tutor for the Computer science course:

B1 knowledge of Italian is required in order to apply for this position.

Tutor for the Computer skills for law course:
At the moment we are not having any recruitment process to become tutor for the Computer skills for law course.

 

How is the selection process performed?
 

The IT Education Center office will perform a first screening based on the CVs.
The most interesting profiles will be contacted for an interview and some tests to check general ICT knowledge. Only the best applicants will be selected to become IT Education Center tutors.
