In-Company Training abroad London - Finance (On-site)

Career Services offers a unique opportunity to get an insight into the financial sector. The In-Company Training abroad will be held in London in collaboration with some of the most important financial institutions in the world.

Students will be divided into three groups, following three different tracks:

  • Track One: Moody's, Bloomberg, Bank of America, Moelis & Company and PAI Partners
    30 August-1 September 2023
     
  • Track Two: UBS, Park Square Capital, BNP Paribas, and d'Angelin & Co. Limited
    30-31 August 2023
     
  • Track Three: Nomura, Aermont Capital LLP, Cinven, HSBC and Barclays
    29-31 August 2023


 

The program will include:
 

  • Company presentations
  • Workshops / Panels with Junior and Senior professionals
  • Q&A sessions and career opportunities

     

The students will spend half a day and/or a full day in each of the companies of the track they have been selected for.
The event will be held on-site in London from August 30th to September 1st, 2023.

Travel and accommodation expenses shall be borne by participants responsible for their arrangements. Participants are also responsible for the following costs:

  • Visa fees to enter the country of destination (when required)
     
  • Health insurance (when required)
     
  • Meals and extra costs (when not included)

Application details:
The program is dedicated to 45 students with a strong interest in finance, fluent in English, curious and open minded. Students can apply for all three tracks or just one, according to their interests, and they will be selected for one group only. The three groups will have 15 participants each.
 

Eligibility:
 

  • 1st, 2nd-year students that will be regularly enrolled in a Bocconi Master of Science Degree Course in the a.y. 2023-2024
  • 2nd, 3rd-year students that will be regularly enrolled in a Bocconi Bachelor Degree Course in the a.y. 2023-2024
  • 3rd, 4th-year students that will be regularly enrolled in the Bocconi World Bachelor in Business in the a.y. 2023-2024.

Priority will be given to students attending their penultimate year of Bachelor or Master of Science Degree course.

GPA: minimum 22/30 (average weighted on credits). 
 

Please note that all the prospect I year Master of Science students are admitted to the In-Company Training program sub iudice, given that Career Service will verify the regular enrolment to the Bocconi Master of Science with the Admission Office. 
 

 

Language requirements:
Applicants whose native tongue is not English have to prove a good knowledge of the English language through one of the following options:
 

  • Enrolment in a program taught in English
     
  • Bocconi English exam of Level C1
     
  • Other certificates accepted by Bocconi Language Center at the C1 level (for the list of the certificates accepted and correspondent level, refer to the table)

Incomplete applications will not be considered.
The results of the selection will be communicated via e-mail by Wednesday, 26 July 2023.

Students' responsibility

Before applying, please note that it is the students' responsibility to:

  • Verify personally, with the authorities of the host country, the suitable procedures for obtaining the appropriate visa, if required, and any other necessary documentation in full compliance with local laws. All formalities relating to visas and other documents required to enter the country are the responsibility of the student.
     
  • Read the “Bocconi Students Travel Risk Policy” (available on yoU@B), and comply with the risk mitigation measures suggested.
     
  • Access, through yoU@B diary, the Travel Risk Awareness Elearning, and the International SOS Member’s portal, which includes Country Guides and Travel Security and Medical Risk Ratings.
     
  • Check and follow all the travel recommendations of your Country’s Ministry for Foreign Affairs and International SOS.
     
  • Check all the Covid-19 Procedures to enter the host country and re-enter your home country.
     

Please, be also aware that Bocconi University reserves the right to cancel the program if exceptional circumstances occur before or during the carrying out of the program.
Travel and health risks can rapidly change and lead Bocconi University and hosting Institutions/Companies or Countries to increase travel and health restrictions. In any case, Bocconi University does not guarantee that the In-Company Training will take place if the general conditions do not safeguard the well-being and safety of students.
