Learning Objectives

The Master of Arts in Global Law for Organizations, Business Enterprises is designed to provide students with both broad and in-depth legal expertise in the public (institutions and public organizations) and private (business enterprises and private organizations) sectors, as well as practical skills that enable them to navigate global political and legislative processes. 

Specifically, the detailed qualifying goals are:

  • To offer thorough training in laws dealing with institutions and public organizations, to allow a thorough understanding of the global and European political institutions and actors responsible for shaping policy, safeguarding democratic principles, the rule of law and fundamental rights, as well as the methods and tools these entities use to design and assess the effectiveness of their policies.
  • To provide extensive training in laws dealing with business enterprises and private organizations, to give a comprehensive understanding of the internal structures and processes within businesses that ensure compliance with laws regulating relationships with stakeholders (such as consumers and workers) and protect legal interests from potential harm.
  • To foster complementary across-fields knowledge in areas such as legal reasoning biases, the digital landscape and law enforcement.
  • To develop the ability to apply knowledge through teaching/learning methodologies (including “technology-based methodologies”) that encourage student interaction and involvement according to the "learning by doing" approach.
  • To develop behavioral and practical legal skills through internships, professional seminars, moot courts and legal clinics.
  • To promote proficiency in another EU language (in addition to English, the language of instruction), particularly Italian for non-native speakers.
