Health and Safety

Please find below useful information on security and safety measures for your staying during our Summer School programs.

Bocconi has partnered with International SOS to offer medical, safety and security advice to its international students coming here on campus.
International SOS - that is not an insurance company and does not replace personal medical insurance - provides Bocconi students with quality health care and medical and security advice services worldwide 24/7.

Services are designed to help with medical, personal, travel, security, logistical and legal problems that may arise when away from home.
International SOS services include advice on health and security issues as well as assistance in case of medical or security emergency.

Through the International SOS Assistance App you will be able to contact the Assistance Centre, read Italy country guide and receive notifications.

Please check your e-mail for further details on how to activate and use International SOS.

On the Bocconi Campus, a system of prevention and security is in place to respond to any emergencies that may occur.

The Control Room monitors the security of our Campus on a daily basis. Two professional operators are in charge of presiding the Room 24 hours a day, 7 days a week controlling the most crowded spaces in our Campus as well as the most hidden ones through 96 screens and approximately 500 AI-powered cameras and the SOS Alarm Columns, which are placed in several areas of the University buildings. The room is also constantly connected with the police forces and health emergency enforcement in case of emergency.

The Emergency Number 02.5836.2121 is available on campus for anyone who detects a dangerous situation or an emergency within the Bocconi Campus.

According to the specific needs, the operators in the Control Room, who will promptly get in touch with the occupational safety workers, police forces and medical supplies (including the ambulance which is always on Campus), will answer.

Reported details should be as clear and complete as possible, to allow operators and emergency teams to intervene promptly.

The single emergency number can also be called through the SOS Alarm Columns widespread on Campus.

An ambulance and two paramedics are present on campus from Monday to Friday from 9.30 am to 18.00 pm to ensure immediate availability of an ambulance for transport to the nearest Hospital, along with the support of specialized personnel for the management of illnesses and other health emergencies. The service can be activated through the internal emergency management number +39 025836 2121.

Read the paragraph "On Campus Medical Center" for all further info on the services available on campus.

Bocconi University has set up an on-campus medical center, a clinic on the mezzanine floor of the Piazza Sraffa 11 building to meet the needs of non-residents in Milan.

The doctor is available from Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 6:00pm.

The Medical Center is a first-level internal medicine service, which can carry out medical examinations with a medical report and provide medications and prescriptions. This service is only available to members of the Bocconi community and cannot be extended to others (family members and acquaintances).

Please note that the medical center is NOT an emergency service. In the event of an emergency, you should always call 112, the European emergency number, or the Bocconi emergency number, +39 02 5836.2121, which will activate the ambulance service if necessary.

Besides the on-campus doctor, a nurse will be available 24/7 for medical assistance.
