This program aims to empower graduates with the fundamental principles and techniques of data analysis, along with tools to govern innovative projects in established companies, consulting firms and venture capital settings, as well as to work with entrepreneurial projects and startups.
Graduates will be equipped to craft and launch their own entrepreneurial business. They will also have a solid background in applied economics and technology and innovation strategy for students wishing to undertake a PhD program in economics or strategy.
Two main professional profiles will be developed:
Expert in the Analysis of Innovation Processes
Graduates will be able to analyze the effects of innovation processes on the competitive and strategic dynamics of manufacturing and services sectors. They will also be equipped to analyze related implications both for the strategy of individual companies and, at a more macro level, for the competitive dynamics and regulation of sectors. They will possess knowledge and skills in the field of macroeconomics of innovation processes and analysis of the sector, skills in quantitative analysis and interpreting data, as well as knowledge of interactions between micro and macroeconomic variables.
Graduates will be trained to work in regulatory authorities or other institutions as economic analysts. They may also work in startups, established companies, as well as in consulting or venture capital firms as strategic analysts.
Expert in the Management of Innovation and Business Development
Graduates will be able to manage the development and sales of services and product innovations, following all the stages of process and organizational innovations, including: competitive analysis of the sector of reference, preparing a business plan, possibly seeking funding, marketing for the launch of new products. They will possess knowledge and skills in managing the process of developing innovation and a broad understanding of different environments (i.e. legal, marketing, organization and management of internal processes) related to introducing innovation. They will also be able to understand critical issues when defining company policies in research and development and management of innovation projects.
Graduates will be trained to work in large companies, venture capitalist firms or startups as a manager in research and development or business development, or as a project manager.
