Tutoring

What is the tutoring service?

It is a task-based support service provided by a language teacher.

For students enrolled in Bachelor of Science and Integrated Master of Arts in Law programs, the tutoring service is provided one-to-one both for English and the other curricular languages.

Teachers suggest the right self-study path for each student, also using learning materials.

Teachers have tutoring hours via Microsoft Teams.

For each tutoring session the time is limited, so the teacher can see and support a limited number of students.

If you want to access the service:

  1. book a tutoring session online through yoU@B Student’s Diary in the “Faculty office hours” section (see the above timetables for each tutor).The time slot of the session you booked will be communicated via e-mail the day before, after 04:00pm;
  2. you will also receive an invitation via Microsoft Teams by the tutor. Accept the invitation and the tutoring session timetable will appear on your Teams calendar;
  3. to start the tutoring session with the teacher, go on Teams calendar and click on “Partecipa” at fixed time.

To make the tutoring support service more effective, students are advised:

  • to organize themselves in advance in order to meet deadlines (exam sessions etc.)
  • not to ask for the tutoring support only immediately before the exam
  • to ask the tutor to correct no more than a single writing exercise per tutoring session. Only writings in the studied foreign language can be corrected (no translations)

Please remember that students can ask for support also during teachers’ office hours.
