Bocconi University provides a tuition waiver for students with disabilities equal or greater than 66% enrolled in the first year or in a year after the first of Bachelor of Science, Master of Science or Law programs.

The benefit consists in the total exemption from the payment of tuition and fees and is addressed to students who have a disability certificate pursuant to Article 3, paragraph 1 or 3 of Italian Law n. 104 of 5 February 1992 issued by an Italian Medical Committee or with civil disability equal to or greater than 66% attested by an Italian Medical Committee.

The provisions below are official publication of the regulation a.y. 2023-2024 for the benefit of the "Tuition waiver for students with disabilities equal to or greater than 66%" for students enrolled in the first year or enrolled in a year following the first of a Bachelor, Master or Law program in the academic year 2023-2024.

1. Eligible students

The benefit of the "Tuition waiver for students with disabilities equal or greater than 66%" can be requested by students:

> Enrolled in the first year or in a year after the first of Bachelor of Science, Master of Science or Integrated Master of Arts in Law programs in the academic year 2023-2024.

> in possession of a disability certificate pursuant to Article 3, paragraph 1 or 3 of Italian Law n. 104 of 5 February 1992 issued by an Italian Medical Committee or a civil disability certificate attested by an Italian Medical Committee attesting a disability equal or greater than 66%.

Attention:
The exemption is granted for the academic year in which the application is submitted and is not automatically renewed for the following academic years. For this reason, the student interested in confirming the benefit must submit a new application every year, provided that he/she meets the requirements.

2. Deadlines and procedure

Interest students must submit the "Tuition waiver for students with disabilities equal or greater than 66%" application online in the period indicated in the table below:

Online application A.Y. 2023-2024*
Students enrolled in the first year AY 2023-2024  from 01/03/2023 to 15/9/2023
Students enrolled years after the first in AY 2023-2024  from A.Y. 2023-2024 enrollment date until 15/09/2023

*Possible extensions/revision of the deadlines due to unforeseen circumstances will be published here.

Applications submitted after the deadline will be considered only if the disability greater than 66% has been recognized after September 15th, 2023.

In this case, for AY 2023-2024 the student will benefit from full waiver of any tuition and fees that may still be due at the date of the recognition of the disability greater than 66%.

3. Results

Results will be communicated by October 6th, 2023 through the online portal where the application was submitted.

The benefit will not entail a specific acceptance, rather the financial situation on Punto Blu will be updated after the publication of the result.

The benefit assigned for the a.y. 2023-2024 will be included in the student's financial situation, which can be viewed at the Punto Blu (> administrative area> Fees, Funding and Housing) ONLY after the Fees, Funding and Housing Office has verified that the student is regularly enrolled in the first year or regularly enrolled in the year following the first to a.y. 2023-2024. For this reason, students who in the academic year 2023-2024 will be "enrolled with reserve" (or have enrollment subject to reserve) will not be able to view in the system the benefit assigned for the academic year 2023-2024 and will not be able to receive a refund of the first installment paid (advance payment) for the academic year 2023-2024 until the dissolution of the reserve itself.

The benefit is granted for the academic year in which the application is submitted and is not automatically renewed for the following academic years.

For this reason, the student interested in confirming the benefit must submit a new application every year, provided that he/she meets the requirements.

The exemption is granted for a period not exceeding three semesters in addition to/beyond the legal duration of the degree program attended, i.e.:

> Up to a maximum of nine semesters for Bachelor of Science programs;

> Up to a maximum of seven semesters for Master of Science programs;

> Up to a maximum of thirteen semesters for Law program.

The maximum benefit period is counted from the first semester of the absolute first academic year of enrollment.

The absolute first year of enrollment shall be understood as any academic year of first enrollment in any kind of degree program (even if different from the one attended in AY 2023-2024) which required the same education qualification as the one needed to access the attended program in AY 2023-2024, in any University in Italy or abroad, even if the program has not been completed.

In their last year of assistance, eligible students will be granted a full fees waiver and a 50% tuition waiver.

The following students may not participate in the application:

> students who have already completed a degree of the same level or higher than the program they are enrolled in;

> students who have reached the maximum benefit period, counted from the absolute first academic year of enrollment.

A student enrolled in a second Bocconi degree cannot apply for the benefit.

If during AY 2023-2024, after the assignment of the benefit, the disability is revoked or the percentage of disability lowers below 66% after the medical visit of revision, for AY 2023-2024 the student will benefit from full enrollment fee waiver, full regional fee waiver and full waiver of the tuition installments already expired at the date of the revision.

It is the student’s responsibility to communicate any variations in the percentage of disability or the revocation of the disability certificate during AY 2023-2024, pursuant to Italian Law n. 104 of 5 February 1992.

The benefit assigned will be also revoked if verifications carried out by the Fees, Funding and Housing Office reveal false documentation and declarations made by the student: the revocation shall take effect starting from the moment in which the illecit behavior took place and shall entail the full payment (at the ordinary fees target) of due tuition and fees starting from the academic year in which the student benefited from the benefit following the false documentation and/or declarations (articles 71 and 75 of Italian D.P.R. 445/2000).
