Recognition of an internship in the study plan requires two mandatory steps:

  • before internship: advance authorization
  • at conclusion of internship: final validation

An internship can be recognized only if it has been properly activated. Check that the correct activation procedure has been followed in the appropriate section (Activating an internship).

Below are the instructions to be followed in order to ensure recognition of an internship in your study plan.

You can get a feedback on the evolution of the internship recognition process through the CHECK YOUR INTERNSHIP widget available in the INTERNSHIP section of your You@B diary.

Registers the internship on your study plan.

For undergraduates and law students that don't have a mandatory internship in their degree course, they must modify their study plan so as to include it.
Once you have obtained final recognition of the internship, you will be able to check the proper registration of the formative credits, also through the Calendar in the "My internships" area of JobGate, or in the Punto Blu in the "Career" section.

Recognition of a curricular internship for credits involves several actors: the time required to record credits depends on how rapid they all are. To keep this time to a minimum, make sure that both evaluation forms (of the intern and tutor) are filled out and that the internship document (in the case of activation through Bocconi documents) has been returned to the Internships Office.

Credits are usually registered in the study plan after the end of an internship. Exceptions for advance recognition of an internship – when it has not ended but meets the requirements for minimum duration – can be made in the following cases:
- graduation before the end of the internship;
- admission in a Bocconi Master of Science program;
- application for a scholarship.
You will need to make a request for advance recognition to the Internship Office through B in touch. They will then make the final evaluation forms available in advance.
In general, all requirements – including the minimum duration – must be met by the deadline for the study plan completion for graduation or the other deadlines related to the cases in indicated above.
