Inclusion as Cornerstone for Equity, Knowledge and Collective Progress
Walking in someone else's shoes, confronting different points of view and discovering how every form of diversity can become a resource for the community. This is the spirit of Bocconi Inclusion Weeks, which returns for its second edition with over twenty initiatives, including seminars, experiential activities and spaces for dialogue, to explore the many dimensions of inclusion.
During the two weeks, participants will be able to attend Insightful Seminars led by international academics and professionals dedicated to topics such as "superdiversity", kind communication, gender inequalities, disability awareness and Diversity & Inclusion policies in a rapidly changing society.
There will also be “Engagement Activities”, designed to experience inclusion in a hands-on way: experiences related to the different dimensions of diversity—culture, religion, ability, origin, identity.
In the “Inclusion Hall”, voices, research, and art will come together to share knowledge that matters, foster understanding and dialogue, and be inspired by creative expressions, while the “Inclusion Corners” will offer information on digital accessibility, counseling, and anti-discrimination services.
"With the second edition of Bocconi Inclusion Weeks, we want to offer our community the opportunity to discuss and reflect together on inclusion as an essential value for a more inclusive, innovative, and efficient society and economy. The initiatives range from seminars with international academic experts—such as the one about work with Iris Bohnet—to inspirational meetings with figures such as Daniel Lumera, to practical experiences such as the intercultural moment and ‘coffee in the dark’. During the weeks, the Inclusion Hall Space (in the del Vecchio building) will be open, where we will present the results of Bocconi's research on the theme of inclusion, invite the community to leave a message for collective reflection, and host an artwork that will stimulate new perspectives on this shared value," says Paola Profeta, Dean for Diversity, Inclusion and Sustainability.
The activities will mainly be held in English, with some bilingual sessions and others in Italian.
