RENUNCIATION
It is possible to renounce from the housing assignment exclusively for expected academic reasons and only within the time windows detailed below.
Renunciation from June 3-7, 2026 – only for students who:
Have received confirmation of departure for exchange or internship for a.y. 2026-27.
The application will be immediately accepted and the room assigned for 2026-27 will be cancelled.
The office will verify afterwards with the competent offices the truthfulness of the statement, in case of substantiated statements the security deposit will be refunded and the student will not be burdened with penalties or further payments.
Please note: In case of declarations NOT substantiated by the specific academic reasons provided for the acceptance of the renunciation request, the student will not be refunded the security deposit, will still have the obligation to pay one month's fees and will also be subject to the payment of 200 euros for administrative management charges.
Please note: Students who fall under the categories for subsequent windows (e.g., lack of credits or withdrawal from studies) and are already certain they want to give up their accommodation can also submit a withdrawal request during this window.
Renunciation from June 15-21, 2026 – only for students enrolled in a Bachelor or Master’s program who:
a) Have realized that they will not achieve the credits required for the merit requirement by 10 August, 2026;
b) Withdraw from their studies or transfer to another university;
c) They are Bachelor students and, despite having participated in the selections for admission to a Master’s program for the a.y. 2026-27, were not admitted. Please note: Bachelor students who are guests at a preferential rate and are not admitted to a Master’s program, but will enroll in the first year fuori corso, will not be able to submit a renunciation request.
The application will be immediately accepted and the room assigned for 2026-27 will be cancelled.

Renunciation from July 6-12, 2026 - only for students with exams taken after the previous renunciation window deadline:

WITHDRAWAL
You may withdraw from the housing assignment by submitting a withdrawal application during the month of November, 2026 (dates soon available) and exclusively if you fall into one of the two cases listed below:
> during the second semester of a.y. 2026-27 you will participate in an international mobility experience (exchange, free mover) or an internship recognized by Bocconi University, in a location other than Milan;
> you participated in the Open reservation - recovery session because you were already assigned a full rate accommodation and you wanted to change the rate, switching to the preferential rate, but you received a negative result. In this case, the deadline for submitting the withdrawal request will be communicated to you in the result of the Open reservation - recovery session.
There are no other cases of withdrawal; in all other cases, the student will keep the housing assignment for the entire agreed period and will be required to pay all the scheduled housing installments.
Application for withdrawal results in cancellation of the housing assignment starting from December 24, 2026. If you fall into this category, you will not be required to pay subsequent installments and will get a refund of the security deposit.
