Housing

Your space, at the heart of the university experience
For 70 years, Bocconi University has provided housing for its out-of-town students. Relocation to Milan has always been a central element of the University’s vision, which is firmly committed to supporting a steadily growing number of families by offering high-quality, safe, and inclusive housing solutions, while also developing accommodation opportunities designed to remain financially sustainable.
Over the years, Bocconi has expanded its portfolio to include seven University-owned residence halls, now able to accommodate up to 1,700 students. From the Bocconi Residence, inaugurated in 1956, to the more recent Castiglioni Residence, opened in 2018, the University has continuously invested in modern, energy-efficient facilities designed to welcome an increasingly international student community.
Starting in 2022, the housing offer was further expanded with an additional 350 beds, made possible through the University’s first partnership with an external organization.
In 2026, Bocconi once again reinforces its commitment to student support through housing, reserving approximately 700 new beds for its students at the prestigious and innovative Olympic Village. This state-of-the-art complex, inaugurated at the beginning of 2026 to host athletes competing in the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games, will soon open its doors to the Bocconi community.
Within the Olympic Village, the University offers single and double rooms primarily dedicated to first-year students, many of whom are arriving in Milan for the first time to embark on an exciting journey of personal and academic growth.
“As a parent, knowing that my son was living on campus, in a well-maintained, secure facility under constant supervision, was essential. Over the years, I have always felt at ease: I knew he was in a protected, well-organized environment that genuinely cared about its residents, allowing him to experience university life with confidence and responsibility.”
Our housing offer
Bocconi firmly believes in the positive cross-fertilization that arises from the encounter of diverse talents and has always invested in fostering it. Life within the University’s spaces is conceived as an experience of continuous exchange, where study, dialogue, and relationships intertwine every day, enriching each student’s academic and personal journey.
Living in a Bocconi residence means choosing a well-organized, reliable environment designed to support students throughout a stimulating and demanding university path. Functional, thoughtfully designed spaces are complemented by dedicated services and a strong sense of community that facilitates integration, encourages the development of lasting connections, and makes everyday life away from home smoother and more reassuring.
The University also strongly upholds the principle of inclusion, including from a financial perspective. It welcomes students from diverse backgrounds and offers them accommodation free of charge or at rates significantly below market value. In this way, every student—regardless of their background—can fully engage in the university experience, focusing on personal growth and the development of their talent.
Facilities
All the facilities available to our students offer well-maintained spaces, practical services, and an international community. They feature common areas, kitchens, and study rooms, and are all located in the heart of the city, within a maximum 10–15 minute walk from the classrooms.
