Withdrawal from Studies - MSc programs AY 2026-27
REIMBURSEMENT OF THE FIRST INSTALLMENT/ADVANCED PAYMENT
Enrolled students* are not entitled to obtain the reimbursement of the first installment/advance payment, in compliance to former article 27 of R.D. 1269/1938. Bocconi University, however, grant said reimbursement on an exceptional basis, only if requested within specific deadlines, shown in the “Reimbursement deadlines” section.
After said deadlines, the first installment/advance payment, as a security deposit, will be kept in full.
The reimbursement will be granted, with the exclusion of € 250 for administrative service expenses, only if the reimbursement request is submitted within the following deadline.

All students are kindly invited to carefully review the compulsory requirements for admission to Bocconi Master of Science programs and the enrollment fulfillments, as:
- Failure to meet even one of the compulsory requirements (English language requirement, a valid Bachelor diploma, and/or a GMAT total score of 600 – only for the ESSEC-Bocconi DD Program / IM Concentration – DD ESSEC Luxury Management) will result in cancellation of enrollment, with no reimbursement of the first installment/advance payment.
- Failure to comply with enrollment conditions will lead to the revocation of admission, due to a breach of contract attributable to the student.
For students admitted to the CEMS MIM, China MIM, ESSEC-Bocconi DD Programs and IM Concentration – DD ESSEC Luxury Management, the same reimbursement deadlines apply.
The €2,000/€2,500 Administrative Contribution for special programs will be fully reimbursed, although the reimbursement may be processed at a different time from that of the first installment/advance payment.
The reimbursement will be possible, only if requested by and no later than 5 days after the receiving their credit recognition result, for:
- incoming transfer students who have requested credit recognition and that have submitted the Withdrawal document (if transferring from a not Italian University) or the “Domanda di Trasferimento” (if transferring from an Italian University);
- Bocconi graduates who plan to complete a second degree in Bocconi and have requested credit recognition.
In case of an intention to withdraw from studies and request a reimbursement of the first installment/advance payment, a communication must be sent to rper@unibocconi.it within the applicable deadlines. The office will provide detailed information on the procedure to be followed.
Reimbursements will be processed only after the start of the 2026–27 academic year. The reimbursement is expected to be credited between September and October 2026.
