*The enrollment period normally lasts 2-3 weeks.

The slots for the most sought-after programs and the majority of scholarships are likely to be allocated in the early rounds.

You cannot apply to two rounds at the same time. You must wait for the outcome of your current application before submitting another one. Furthermore, you may only submit a new application if you were not admitted in the previous round.

Re-applying:

If you were not admitted the first time you applied, you may apply one more time during the same academic year. However, please be aware that:

  • You may apply a maximum of two times for the same academic year; any subsequent applications will not be evaluated.
  • During the second application, at least one element of your application needs to have changed when submitted for the second time (i.e., higher test score, changes in your choice of program, etc.).

All applicants may select up to 5 programs in the Bocconi application:

  • The special programs IM Asia – China MIM, IM CEMS MIM, IM Concentration – DD ESSEC Luxury Management, and IM Asia ESSEC-Bocconi Double Degree will be available among the program choices. If you wish to apply for one or more of these programs, you must list them as separate choices in your online application.
  • The Master of Arts in Global Law for Organizations, Business Enterprises, and Institutions can be selected as an additional choice, in addition to the standard five. No selection test will be required.
  • International applicants who are going to apply only for Politics and Policy Analysis will not be required to take a selection test.
  • The IM Global Experience and Finance Global Experience programs have separate selection processes, which require completing a dedicated application during two specific admission rounds. It is possible to apply simultaneously to one (or both) of these programs through the dedicated rounds, and to the regular Graduate programs through the "standard" rounds. Please refer to the dedicated page to check the relevant information (Focus on Area).
  • The LSE-Bocconi and Sciences Po-Bocconi Double Degree programs have dedicated selection procedures.

Please note that no change of program will be granted after the deadline for enrollment.

With an aim towards fostering greater diversity and inclusion in the classroom, students in IM CEMS MIM, IM Asia, and IM Concentrations may attend first-year classes with students from other IM programs.

Regarding the IM Global Experience and Finance Global Experience, the goal is to form classes that are as diverse as possible in terms of nationality, gender, and background. These factors may influence the admission decisions. As a result, the Directors will review candidates' profiles during the selection process. Therefore, Bocconi applicants will not be assigned the usual 65% of places available, normally allocated to Bocconi students in MSc programs.

Both programs contribute to Bocconi University's standing in international rankings.

Applicants to the Master’s Degree in Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence in Health Sciences (DAIHS) are required to complete a specific application on the Humanitas University web portal. Applications will be carefully examined by a joint committee of representatives from Humanitas University and Bocconi University.

In the four selection rounds, international candidates are evaluated through a comprehensive process that considers all aspects of their profile, with a specific focus on three compulsory evaluation elements. Applications will not be evaluated if any of these three elements are missing

  1. Results of the GMAT/GRE test or the online Bocconi test

Check the threshold scores required to participate in the selection process.

If you have multiple test scores, you can upload them to your application. The system will automatically take the most competitive score into account.

  2. Grade point average of exams passed in the Undergraduate program
The undergraduate GPA and transcripts indicate the applicant's previous academic performance. No particular scores are required to participate in the selections.

During the application process, the system will require you to convert your GPA into the grading system used by Bocconi University. This conversion will be reviewed by the Admissions Office based on your transcript, which reserves the right to recalculate the GPA if necessary.

  3. Evaluation of the Dossier and Motivation
The Director of the Master of Science program will evaluate the various documents and information included in the dossier and verify the applicant's overall profile, experience, and knowledge.
The Dossier/Motivation supporting the candidate's application must be in English.

You can also upload a Video presentation (optional) in English as an additional element to your application. Please consider that the video presentation is not mandatory for the selection, but can be an additional opportunity for students coming from international Universities. The video must be recorded in English.

Within your application, you will be able to record your video presentation. You will find all the information you need to prepare directly in the application. Specifically, you will be asked to respond to the following questions/statements:

  • Self-presentation
  • Why do you consider yourself a person with a pronounced international attitude?
  • How do you evaluate your ability to go beyond your "comfort zone" and face complex situations?

Further elements of evaluation

IM CEMS MIM, IM Asia - China MIM, IM Asia - Bocconi-ESSEC, and IM Concentration – DD ESSEC Luxury Management: additional evaluation elements are compulsory. These programs place strong emphasis on qualitative and motivational aspects, and therefore require the submission of a dedicated video presentation.
The same applies to the MA in Global Law for Organizations, Business Enterprises and Institutions, which also requires a video interview as part of the selection process.

All necessary information and instructions for applying are available on the specific application page (check the Focus on Area).

Applicants can enter the selection process if they acquire/have acquired a valid and recognized 1st cycle qualification (Undergraduate level)

  • The qualification must be acquired by and no later than October 2026 or the first graduation session available after the summer break, if available after October 2026.
  • Students enrolled in the IM Asia CHINA MIM program must obtain their Bachelor's degree by June 2026.

Please note:

  • Preferential consideration for admission is given to applicants whose undergraduate studies are still underway or were completed less than two years prior to the application. Applicants with other profiles will be considered at a later stage.
  • Students enrolled in a Double Degree program should apply according to the country of their first university of enrollment. For instance, students enrolled in a Russian university as part of a Double Degree with an Italian institution should apply as International Applicants.
  • If you are enrolled in a Double Degree program that includes a year of study at Bocconi, we recommend that you contact the Admissions Office to confirm your specific case and determine the appropriate applicant category.

For selection purposes, English certifications are not required, BUT, in case of admission, a valid English language requirement MUST be provided by the enrollment deadline and in any case by the end of June 2025.
We invite candidates to check the English language requirements needed in case of admission.
