Where Is Sustainable Mobility Headed to?
What is the future of sustainable mobility in Europe? And how will the relations between mobility, the landscape and its resources evolve? On June 30 at 9am, in via Gobbi's Aula Magna, a panel of experts, policymakers and stakeholders will discuss the issue at the Final International Conference of the CO2 NeuTrAlp project (CO2 Neutral Transport for the Alpine Space – https://www.co2neutralp.eu), financed by the European Union. The conference is organized in collaboration with CERTET, Bocconi's research center on the economics of transportation and tourism.
Mobility of goods and people is a crucial factor for the economic and social development of a given region, as well as a critical variable in terms of environmental impact and energy consumption. Within CO2NeuTrAlp, thirteen pilot projects have been launched, showing how innovative measures improving mobility can be developed while minimizing adverse environmental effects, giving a priority to renewable energy sources, and especially without compromising sustainable regional development.
