Health, Migrants Have a Problem

And the EUPHA conference has more than 150 solutions

Three days to understand which legislative and socio-cultural hurdles, in Europe, limit foreign citizens' and ethnic minorities' access to health services.

That's the topic of Facts Beyond Figures. Communi-Care for Migrants and Ethnic Minorities. 4th Conference on Migrant and Ethnic Minority Health in Europe (Università Bocconi, 21-23 June), organized by European Public Health Association (EUPHA) and two Bocconi research centres: Dondena Centre for Research on Social Dynamics and Centre for Research on Health and Social Care Management(CERGAS).

"The main target of the three-day meeting is to compare scientific results and foster best practices to counteract possible disadvantages of migrants and foreign citizens as to their health conditions and access to health services", the president of the organisational committee, Carlo Maccheroni, says.

The conference is made by 31 parallel sessions, with the presentation of more than 150 research papers.
