Bocconi–École Polytechnique: Two New Agreements in Finance and AI
Bocconi consolidates its international presence following two new agreements with École Polytechnique (EP), which enlarge the portfolio of more than 60 double degrees already operating with 37 partners worldwide. The collaborations concern Finance and Artificial Intelligence, two key areas for both institutions, and will start in 2026-2027 and 2027-2028, respectively.
The first program regards Bocconi's Master of Science in Finance – Finance Track and EP's MSc in Economics, Data Analytics, and Corporate Finance (EDACF), with student selection during the first year and mobility starting in the 2026/27 academic year. The other involves Bocconi's Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence – Milan Track and EP's MSc in Trustworthy and Responsible AI (TRAI), the first partnership of its kind for the AI program, which will start in 2027/28.
“This agreement testifies not only to Bocconi's continued ability to build stable relationships with institutions of excellence, but also to the consideration Bocconi enjoys internationally in the fields of computer science and artificial intelligence, where it has long been active with cutting-edge programs,” says Francesco Saita, Dean for International Affairs. “This allows us to offer courses in all areas in which Bocconi is active that broaden perspectives, skills, and professional opportunities, integrating approaches and methods from some of the best universities in the world.”
For the Finance program, program director Anna Battauz states that "the integration of the two programs allows Bocconi students to expand the rich methodological and financial skills of the MSc in Finance, with particular regard to corporate finance, developing rigorous data analysis skills specific to company valuation and the study of industrial economics, including from a theoretical perspective. Out of this synergy profiles will emerge capable of moving competently in global markets and the most complex institutions."
On the Artificial Intelligence front, Director Laura Sanità points out that "This is our first double degree, and we are particularly pleased to join forces with EP: a collaboration that confirms the solidity and international credibility of our STEM program. The partnership enriches our educational offering, providing added value to an interdisciplinary course on the AI frontier. Students from both institutions will have the opportunity to consolidate their foundational skills in AI, with a strong focus on responsibility, security, and the social impact of intelligent technologies."
The expanded collaboration with EP confirms Bocconi's desire to develop internationally-oriented educational programs and to strengthen its position as a European hub for talented individuals interested in advanced, rigorous, and globally-oriented training.
