Meals brought to your door and tailored by experts to the dietetic and health needs of the customer. Alumnus Giovanni Menozzi tells us about Nutribees

Their objective is to deliver home-made meals, which not only have to be healthy and balanced, but also tailored as much as possible on the needs and characteristics of the customer. "The ultimate goal," explains Giovanni Menozzi, a 27-year-old graduate in International Management and founder, with his Bocconi classmate, Mario Villani, of Nutribees, "is to allow our clients to upload personal health data, medical examinations, information on lifestyle, sports, and anything else that can be useful for our nutritionists to provide targeted foods."

Nutribees, which has been active for about four months, is an online ready-to-eat food delivery service available to subscribers wishing to follow a healthy diet. It is Milan-based and active throughout the Peninsula, "and aims to become the first integrated platform facilitating the use of nutrition as a primary prevention tool against the most common pathologies of our day and age," explains Giovanni Menozzi, "by employing an innovative way to prepare dishes in a protective atmosphere, which ensures 20 days of storage at controlled temperatures".

In practice, the customer accesses the site, answers a number of questions useful to trace his/her profile, and can request the advice of one of the seventy-odd nutritionists working with Nutribees, in order to find the best nutrition fitting one's lifestyle. "We have now implemented 50 recipes for balanced and healthy meals, designed with the support of a physician of the Milan Cancer Institute, because, as I explained earlier, what differentiates our startup from others in the sector is that we conceive food first and foremost as a form of health protection and disease prevention."

Nutribees customers are therefore people interested in understanding what they eat and who are willing to spend something extra to eat healthily. "At present, our customers are 60% women, between the ages of 30 and 50, with medium-to-high education, who do not have much time to cook. We decide with them timing and method of delivery, so that we can provide a fully customized service." The idea, born of personal interest to become a business reality thanks to the work of the two young founders, now needs further investment to grow: "We want to improve the product, give a solid structure to our team, and make our service become more familiar among consumers with targeted initiatives, such as, for instance, a partnership program with selected gyms which we have started in September."
