The Hot Summer of Intellectual Property
This summer Università Bocconi will be the central node of the European network of Intellectual Property scholars. Starting today, 2 July, PhD students and post-doc researchers from different backgrounds (legal, economic, engineering or biological) will attend the sixth edition of the Transatlantic IP Summer Academy (TIPSA), jointly organized with Università di Trento and with the support of the European Patent Office and the European Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market. The lectures will be held at Università di Trento by IP scholars and researchers from ten countries in Europe and North America.
"After the editions organized with Alicante, Trento, Sant'Anna, NYU and McGill, TIPSA confirms to be a successful Bocconi activity, which involves dozens of international researchers as teachers or participants", the scientific coordinator Laurent Manderieux (Department of Law) says.
Università Bocconi will then be the venue of the sixth European Intellectual Property Teachers' Network (EIPTN) annual workshop (12-13 July), hosted for the first time by an Italian university. "The workshop involves 23 leading European universities and is supported by the European Patent Academy of the European Patent Office and the Academy of the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market", Manderieux, who's also the organizer of this workshop, says.
EIPTN brings together individuals from across Europe to exchange ideas on best practice and innovation in teaching and learning activities relating to intellectual property.
