Gianna Nannini: a rock soul
For more than forty years she has been one of the most powerful voices of Italian music. Having lived her art and life against the flow, Gianna Nannini graduated cum laude in Literature and Philosophy at the University of Siena, with the dissertation The body in the voice. Her music shows an abundance of influences from literature: Tornerai (2013) and Dolente Pia (2007) refer to Elsa Morante's Addio and to the Canto V of Dante's Purgatory, and in 2012 Dacia Maraini awarded her with the Elsa Morante Prize Parole in musica.
Tuesday 26 May Gianna Nannini will be at Università Bocconi to take part in the Universiday talk La mia vita in rock. During the event, which will take place at 7pm in the aula magna of via Gobbi, the singer will look back on her personal and artistic biography. Anna Maria Monti (Università Bocconi) together with Gerardo Masuccio and Liana Montone, of the literary student association Bocconi d'Inchiostro, which contributed to organize the talk, will also participate. The entrance is free subject to availability of seats: this is the registration link.
