The Future, Live from Bocconi
After San Francisco, it's Milan's turn. On June 26, the first Italian edition of The Big Interview, the event created by Wired Italia to give center stage to those who are building the future, lands in Bocconi. A free-admission day open to the public, organized in collaboration with Bocconi University, which will not only be the venue for the initiative but an active partner in bringing together research, innovation and society.
The stage, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., will feature international top-level figures of science, technology and digital culture: among others, nuclear entrepreneur Stefano Buono, humanoid robot Desdemona, activist Abigail Disney, explorer Bertrand Piccard, researcher Marietje Schaake and AI and defense professor Mariarosaria Taddeo.
Bocconi will be represented by Rector Francesco Billari and historian Mattia Fochesato, who will explore the role of knowledge in the ongoing social changes. Algorithm design and the future of European AI research will also be discussed with Riccardo Zecchina. “The collaboration with Wired for this event confirms our vocation to be a public space for discussion and critical thinking,” Billari explains. “In an era dominated by technological acceleration and global uncertainties, we believe it is crucial to cultivate the ability to ask good questions before even looking for definitive answers.”
Artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, energy, media, art, and creativity: The Big Interview unites together the most pressing issues in innovation, offering a space to listen to and engage directly with those who work every day to devise solutions. “At a time when such complex international political situations, technological developments and social transformations leave us disoriented, we want to create a space for debate and visions about the future,” says Luca Zorloni, Head of Editorial Content at Wired Italia.
