Daniele Durante Honored by The International Society for Bayesian Analysis

, by Ezio Renda
He will be the first Italian chosen to deliver the Susie Bayarri Lecture at the association’s upcoming conference

Daniele Durante, Associate Professor at the Bocconi Department of Decision Sciences, has been selected by the International Society for Bayesian Analysis (ISBA) to deliver the Susie Bayarri Lecture at the upcoming ISBA 2026 World Meeting in Nagoya, Japan. This named lecture is one of the most prestigious honors for young international researchers who have received a terminal degree in a statistically related field no more than ten years prior to the award’s calendar year. Awarded every two years, the lecture is named to honor the memory of the ISBA lifetime member M.J. Susie Bayarri, who has made foundational contributions to both the theory and methodology of Bayesian Statistics.

With this award, Daniele Durante (who is also the first Italian to receive it) joins a group of past recipients that includes leading researchers from world-renowned international institutions, such as MIT and Chicago Booth, among others. This remarkable achievement is a testament to his outstanding contributions to the field of Statistics and Data Science.
