Next stop, London. Bocconi Rector Gianmario Verona has been meeting with alumni around the world over the last year. His journey, which has taken him to New York, Boston, Paris and Barcelona, among other places, stops off for the third time in the British capital on Monday, 9 October to meet the largest Bocconi alumni community abroad. The occasion will be a conference on the outlook for the Euro area with Francesco Giavazzi, Professor of Economics, and Vittorio Colao, CEO of Vodafone, the telecommunications multinational company based in the British capital. More than 250 alumni are expected at the Savoy for Bocconi in London.

After the French and German Elections and Ahead of the ECB Moves: Options for the Eurozone and Implications for Great Britain is the title of the keynote speech by Professor Giavazzi. "I will talk about the future of the Euro and the Eurozone", the professor says, "after the French and German elections and before the decisions of the European Central Bank which, on 26 October, could start to slow down the purchase of bonds. I will address both the macroeconomic aspects and the hypotheses of Euro area reforms, with a particular focus on the role of Italy, which is dangerously absent from the debate, and on the post-Brexit".

"The meeting will also be an opportunity to discuss with the alumni what is referred to as the State of the University", says Rector Verona, "That is, first of all, our path of growth towards meeting the ambitious goals that the Strategic Plan commits us to pursue. But it also refers to the virtuous circle that connects the University's contributions to the professional development of its alumni with the input that the alumni can contribute to the growth and prestige of their University".
