Bocconi University is among the 13 founders of the Centre on Regulation in Europe (CERRE), a non-profit association based in Belgium, France, Italy and the UK which gathers national regulation agencies, operators of the network industries (such as energy, tlc and transport) and universities with the aim of contributing throughout Europe to the robustness and consistency of regulation systems and practices of the network industries - through studies, training and dissemination activities.

The 13 founding members include operators Veolia, Belgacom, Telenet, Mobistar, Fluxys, Elia and Sibelga; national regulation agencies CREG, OFCOM, IBPT/BIPT and Office of Rail Regulation and universities Bocconi and Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
