Faculty and Staff
University mission and strategic objectives may require Faculty and Staff movements at a global level on work related activities such as conducting a research, attending a conference, meeting, students fairs and teaching.
These activities frequently involve travel abroad and be an enriching experience that can also involve exposure to certain risks.
Bocconi travel abroad policy establishes a set of guidelines and requirements for planning international travel, careful planning must precede international travel, even for seasoned travelers. Each travel destination requires a different strategy for responding to small inconveniences and serious emergencies.
Bocconi fundamental approach to managing the risks associated with travel is to anticipate any possible risk and take steps to prevent or at least reduce harm and protect travellers from exposure to undue risk. Key to this is good preparation and prevention. Pre-travel risk assement is therefore a crucial step of the travel itinerary plan.
Bocconi has established a Risk Rating System and contracted with a travel assistance company (ISOS - International SOS) to provide 24-hour worldwide travel security and medical assistance to its travelling employees.
