Ready for a new adventure, open to the worldAn innate international spirit and flair for multicultural environments has shaped a great deal of choices over my academic path. This long and multi stopover journey allowed me to discover many fabulous spots, learn lessons from different perspectives and meet outstanding people. By chance, my compass often pointed east. Asia pleasantly became my favourite destination – but not the only one. Spending my last graduate year in one of the most beautiful cities in the world was simply amazing. First stop: Shanghai. During the summer of my second undergraduate year, I took part in the Campus Abroad program in this huge city where hyper-modernity and demeaning poverty coexist daily. A great group experience and a springboard for a trip to Tibet.

Less than one year later and on my way to Asia again. Hot temperatures and surreal neatness welcomed me in Singapore. Time to start working. I spent five months as an intern at the Italian Chamber of Commerce. I was surprised by the degree of responsibilities conferred and my real involvement in substantive projects. Too small and perfect for many, but not for me, this city represents a modern melting pot combining a pleasant lifestyle with an easygoing environment. Last but not least, an ideal gateway. Would you dare to waste the possibility of visiting Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia? I did not.

Graduate time came, along with a more demanding burden in terms of study. This however did not weaken my willingness to get into new international experiences. After the first intense year, Pariswas waiting for me! I studied one year at HEC Paris as part of the Double Degree Program. Campus life represented a striking novelty compared to my previous commuting routine, a different way to experience the university. Overall it was an enriching experience not only from an academic standpoint, but also because of the many friendships built and countless moments to remember. A couple of days to change garments in my luggage and I was on another flight. Destination: Asia, of course! Thailand, amazing and smiling Thailand for the next 8 months. Holidays? Not yet. The United Nations are my new challenge. I carried out an International Internship at UNESCAP Statistics Division. It was one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life. This internship gave me the opportunity to achieve the target

I had dreamt about since my first year at university: working for an international organization. I found a multicultural and friendly environment meeting people from all over the world. And what about Bangkok? Chaotic of course, sometimes crazy but so lively and so much fun! It represents Thailand but also much more. A chance to explore new countries in the region: Cambodia, Hong Kong, Myanmar and Vietnam my destinations. Thousands of memories, many new friends, amazing experiences to learn and grow. I strongly believe education should be multifaceted and help us understand different cultures and people. University should not only be a matter of grades. University which focuses only on books is missing something. There is a world out there. Now, time to leave...
