Vendramini New Chair of NASPAA's International Education Committee
Emanuele Vendramini, SDA Professor of Public Management and Policy, has been nominated Chair of the International Education Committee of the Network Association of School of Public Affairs and Administration (NASPAA). The committee, under the mandate of president Nadia Rubaii (Binghamton University ) and of the Executive Committee, has the task of guiding the process of internationalizazion of the network.
From September 1st, Vendramini has replaced Ellen Schall, Dean of New York University, Wagner School.
"I am very honored to be nominated for this post as the first non American academic", comments Vendramini, "and to be called upon to develop the relationships between NASPAA and the world's masters degree programs in public administration" the new Chair says: "including SDA Bocconi's MPM".
NASPAA is a non-profit organization which develops standards for graduate education programs through its Commission on Peer Review and Accreditation: it is the most eminent system of accreditation for master degree programs in the public sector worldwide. Founded in Washington in 1970, it counts 280 member universities and it represents an international point of reference for the promotion of excellence in public education. NASPAA's governance consists of an Executive Committee and a Council which is made up of the Deans and Directors of MPA and NPM programs of prestigious American and international universities.
Emanuele Vendramini, besides the role of SDA Professor, is an associate professor at the faculty of Business economics at the Università Cattolica and adjunct professor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. His research activity focuses on performance measurement and competitiveness.
