Shaping Europe Together: Opportunities for Students with Funding from CIVICA

, by Tomaso Eridani
The new call for the Student Engagement Fund will allow Bocconi students and early-stage researchers to organise activities in partnership with peers from the other universities

Promoting student engagement and collaboration is one of the key missions of the CIVICA alliance, of which Bocconi is a founding member, and to push such engagement the Student Engagement Fund (SEF) was set up last year, a mini-grant funding scheme aimed at supporting student-led joint initiatives within the CIVICA alliance. And a new call for SEF projects is now open.

The SEF initiative funds a wide range of joint projects/initiatives - such as events, student competitions, conferences, workshops, hackathons, and more. Projects should promote and foster European collaboration and intercultural understanding and be aligned with the 4 thematic priorities of CIVICA - Societies in transition, Crises of Earth; Democracy in the 21st century; Europe Revisited; Data-Driven Technologies for the Social Sciences – or with other EU priorities such as sustainability, diversity and inclusion, solidarity, promoting European culture, or address global/societal challenges.

To be eligible for the SEF, projects and initiatives can be proposed by a team formed by at least two student associations from at least two CIVICA partner universities or an ad-hoc team formed by students and early-stage researchers representing a minimum of two CIVICA partner universities. Proposals of projects with participants representing more than two CIVICA partners are highly encouraged.

Bocconi students can submit proposals for pre-approval by October 27
