The school debuted in the rankings for Executive MBAs, placing 22nd in Europe and 67th in the world, and the only Italian business school on the rankings

A positive debut in the 2011 Executive MBA Financial Times rankings for SDA Bocconi, the only Italian school on the list, placing 22nd in Europe and 67th worldwide. SDA Bocconi was able to successfully enter the internationally prestigious rankings with a program held in Italian, created to prepare managers to face the challenges of international markets.

"After outstanding placements for our Full Time MBA in English, it is a great pleasure to see our programs in Italian receiving positive international recognition as well," says Alberto Grando, Dean of SDA Bocconi. "This announcement recognizes the school's effort in pursuing an internationalization strategy and we aim to continue to grow on the market abroad, both with international programs and the program in Italian, which is also aimed at a global market."

The SDA Bocconi Executive MBA is a 21-month program which allows participants to work and study at the same time, dedicated to managers with an average of 10 years of professional experience, alternating in-class modules with distance learning sections. Participants are also offered the option of attending elective courses at prestigious partner schools in Los Angeles, Toronto, Tel Aviv and Geneva.

Rankings for Executive MBA programs focus on a series of parameters which include salary increases obtained by graduates and improvements in their professional careers, as well as the presence of international faculty.

"This is an important and satisfying result for a program created in Italy which focuses on the world," explains Paolo Morosetti, Director of the Executive MBA. "Our desire to offer our participants a visible recognition of their professional growth on the job market has been rewarded. In addition, the placement has encouraged us to continue to align our program with the needs of participants and the companies where they work."

With this placement, SDA Bocconi, the only Italian school on all the important international rankings, is continuing to receive positive results. On the 2011 Global MBA rankings of the Financial Times, the school moved up to 10th place in Europe and 28th in the world and the MBA program also ranked 4th among 1-year programs held outside the US in the Forbes rankings and first in the world in Bloomberg Businessweek rankings in terms of return on investment.
