Relations Between Canada and Italy Pass Through Bocconi
A Canadian delegation, led by the Minister of International Trade Philippe Francois Champagne, met today with Bocconi Rector Gianmario Verona, Dean of International affairs Stefano Caselli and eleven Canadian students attending the university. The meeting was held in the framework of the Canadian Government's mission to strengthen relations between Canada and Italy in view of the entry into force of the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) between Canada and the European Union. With the minister were also present the Canadian Ambassador in Berlin and envoy to the EU, Stephane Dion, and Jan Scazighino, Minister-Counsellor of the Embassy of Canada in Italy.
Five of the 11 Canadian students who met the Minister are in exchange in Bocconi, while another five attend a master's degree and an another a double degree with Queen's University - Smith School of Business. Bocconi has exchange partnerships with 13 Canadian universities, two double degree programs and a CEMS partnership. Each year, Bocconi welcomes 125 Canadian students in exchange, addition to around 30 enrolled students.
