Migrant Health in Europe: An Appointment at Bocconi
Università Bocconi will host the 4th Conference on Migrant and Ethnic Minority Health in Europe (21-23 June 2012), titled Facts beyond Figures. Communi-Care for Migrants and Ethnic Minorities, a joint initiative by the European Public Health Association (EUPHA), the EUPHA Section on Migrant and Ethnic Minority Health and the CERGAS and Dondena research centres at Università Bocconi.
"The main objective of the three-day meeting is to compare scientific results and foster best practices to counteract possible disadvantages of migrants and foreign citizens as to their life conditions, health status and access to health services", Carlo Maccheroni (head of the Organizing Committee) and Emilio Tanzi (picture, Organizing Committee) say.

The conference will be organized in eight sessions in order to combine more traditional, well established themes with innovative topics: Health status of migrants and foreign citizens in European and Mediterranean countries; Health status of migrant and foreign women; Health policies and management; Innovation, quality and best practices; A general view of Roma and Sinti communities; Occupational safety and health and the labour market; Role of cultural linguistic mediators in health and social services; Research methodology
