Manager Opinions Help SDA Move Up in the FT Rankings
The opinions of participating managers and companies caused the SDA Bocconi School of Management to move up 6 places in the annual rankings of executive education published today by the Financial Times. The school placed 25th worldwide and 11th in Europe.
Rankings measure the quality of open and custom programs offered by business schools all over the world to working managers, through a detailed set of 31 parameters, 20 of which are provided by participating managers and companies, 11 by institutions.
The final position is calculated through the average of the scores (not the positions) obtained by two separate rankings: for open programs, open to anyone who would like to register; and for custom programs, designed by schools along with client companies and offered to managers working at those companies.
In open courses, SDA Bocconi placed 32nd worldwide and 12th in Europe; in custom courses, the school placed 23rd worldwide and 10th in Europe.
"We are very happy to receive this recognition, which testifies to the school's increasing ability to design education programs that are valued and immediately accessible by managers and companies," says Alberto Grando, Dean of the SDA Bocconi School of Management. "And we are just as satisfied with the rapid growth of custom education that, even during this time of economic crisis, is reflected in a growing number of companies interested in designing innovative and truly custom educational programs with SDA."
