Lessons on Mental Health From Gardening
This hands-on gardening workshop will help us understand how important it is to advocate for and nurture our mental health, very similar to the way we care for our plants. Just as a plant needs constant attention and care to bloom, our mental health journey is also a gradual process and the common denominator of the two is therefore patience. So on Tuesday 10 October at 6:15pm in the Campus Life area on Via Bocconi 12, after an introduction on the importance of taking care of our mental health by Karen Rigatti – psychologist and Bocconi counselor – the gardening workshop "Potted Cultivation: From Seed to Adult Plant" will be held.
The date of 10 October was chosen purposely as it is also World Mental Health Day.
"In an increasingly complex and demanding world, the importance of mental well-being cannot be underestimated", declares Paola Profeta, Dean for Diversity, Inclusion and Sustainability at Bocconi University. "World Mental Health Day serves as a reminder that mental health is a universal concern which affects us all, and we here at Bocconi hope to further raise awareness within the university community by promoting the various resources and programs available".
