Italian Capitalism As Told by Leading Players
Telling the story of Italian capitalism and business through the testimony of the people who have contributed to writing it. The course in Business History, part of the Master of Science in Management, took a different path this year, as Andrea Colli explains: "We restructured the course, after deciding to favor the teaching of history based more on discussion than concepts, with entrepreneurs and manager as speakers who explain the dynamics of Italian capitalism and its evolution."
For four consecutive Wednesdays at 1pm, starting on Wednesday 23 April, important leading players of Italian capitalism will be in the classroom for a lecture in English, focusing particularly on personal events. Colli says: "The first speaker (Aula Magna at Via Gobbi) will be Gianfranco Carbonato from Prima Industrie Spa, who embodies specialized capitalism in technological innovation and internationalization strategies. Then, on 30 April (Aula Manfredini), Alessandro Pansa, former managing director of Finmeccanica, will discuss the evolution of capitalism from the point of view of a public manager. Aldo Fumagalli, from Sol," continues Colli, "will discuss the idea of fourth capitalism for the average company that is reinforced within districts on 7 May (Aula Manfredini); lastly Marco Lavazza will speak on 14 May (Aula Magna Roentgen), a leading player in one of the fundamental sectors for the Italian economy, the food and taste industry."
