Eight Startups Looking for Growth Enter Speed MI Up

This morning the incubator has welcomed the new businesses. They will follow a training and tutorship program for up to 24 months. The incubator won't enter their capital

Fruit juices, mattresses and many apps to efficiently and economically provide a variety of services: this morning Speed MI Up, the incubator established by Bocconi University, Chamber of Commerce and the Municipality of Milan, has welcomed in eight new startups. The companies will receive training, tutorship and services for up to 24 months. Unlike most Italian incubators, Speed MI ​​Up does not ask for a share of their capital, thus ensuring their independence.

"Since we started the incubator, in June 2013, the incubated companies have been 46, including those of the latter round. Of these, 24 are currently present in two locations via Gobbi, in the Bocconi campus, and via Achille Papa", says Speed MI Up director, Fausto Pasotti.

Cozily is an app that wants to substantially improve life coaching and psychotherapy services. "Through the Cozily services any user can freely and anonymously discuss of any subject – be it personal, sentimental or whatever – with the guarantee to be supported by an experienced and certified psychotherapist", say the two startuppers Filippo Scarabelli and Alessandro Pecoraro.

Goi defines itself the brand of high quality fruit juices, able to guarantee superior olfactory-gustatory experiences, thanks to natural ingredients. "Goi's mission is to change the paradigms of this part of the beverage industry, using levers such as quality and distinctiveness to enhance a product mistakenly deemed as hard to diversify. Essential elements of the start-up are also high-quality fruit and the territory in which it is grown", say the entrepreneurs, Davide and Edoardo Quaglia.

Do you often leave clothes at the dry cleaners? Have you ever given up assembling Ikea furniture? You are relocating and need help to pack your things? Taskhunters is the app that connects 650,000 university students in Italy, who have spare time to be used, with the 2.5mln individuals who lack the time to accomplish small daily chores. To make it work, there is a large entrepreneurial team: Lorenzo Teodori, Francesco Piovesan, Marco Premier, Alberto Mora and Jessy Conroy.

Wash Out (Andrea Galassi, Christian Padovan and Alessandro Morlin Visconti) is an app, that allows you to wash your vehicle without losing time. "We will come to wash your car or motorcycle where it is parked: in front of your office, your home, the gym. Our washers use waterless products, which are completely ecological and prevent any waste from pouring to the ground, so that we can provide the service in the street", say the entrepreneurs.

Emanuela Fornasari and Maria de Lourdes Lopez, who have been working in the sector for 15 years, have devised IM, a web platform that intermediates between hotels and customers by inverting the logic used to date. "With IM", explain the two entrepreneurs, "it is the client to sell their willingness to buy under certain conditions, and the hotel is the buyer, guaranteeing to
IM a fee for its services. In this way the customer chooses his destination without compromising with the restrictions of current sales channels".

With the Localiving app users connect directly with their favorite shops and they receive real-time notifications about news and promotions regarding commercial establishments physically close to where they are. Merchants, with Localiving for Business, acquire an extraordinary geo-referenced marketing tool that works with the simplicity and immediacy of app for smartphones. The two apps are already available for IOS and Android. Entrepreneurs: Giulia Barone, Daniele Carnovale, Domenico Gabriele, Maria Assunta Tarsitani, Antonio and Stefano Tiano.

Amakea is a brand of mattresses, which develops its sales network primarily online. Its mission is to sell high-quality mattresses, completely washable and with a perfect support forthe spine. "Bypassing traditional channels, selling the product directly on line", explains the entrepreneur, Luigi Coscia, "we are able to provide a high quality mattress, 100% made in Italy, with an original design and at a very competitive price".

Schedulus is a productivity tool for scheduling meetings. The tool combines the calendars of the participants maintaining their anonymity and identifies the most appropriate times, avoiding email ping-pong that usually occurs in these situations. Its creator is an Estonian student, Lauri Lehtmaa.
