, by Susanna Della Vedova, translated by Jenna Walker
BAG returns, with over 60 works of art by 35 international artists and a call to bring together art and music enthusiasts. There will be a presentation of the work by Emilio Isgrò on 16 May, the inauguration of Marco Casentini's wall paintings on 17 May and an evening with guided tours for all the art on 18 May

The Bocconi Art Gallery, the "gallery" of contemporary art at Università Bocconi, has been revamped, presenting over 60 works of art by 35 Italian and international artists. With this second act of the BAG project, Università Bocconi emphasizes its deep-rooted and constant dialogue with the world of contemporary art. This dialogue is made possible by the collaboration of private collectors, galleries and foundation, which has been further strengthened thanks to the collaboration with the Assocation of Italian Contemporary Art Museums (AMACI). To celebrate the new works of art, the new artists and the collaborations, from 16 to 18 May, the Bocconi Art Gallery will hold a three-day event in the pursuit of art and music.

On 18 May in particular, BAG will host an evening with guided tours of the works of art in the presence of 21 of the artists who created them: attending the event will be Christiane Beer, Mats Bergquist, Carlo Bernardini, Luigi Carboni, Marco Casentini, Domenico D'Oora, Arthur Duff, Diamante Faraldo, Sergio Fermariello, Emilio Isgrò, Marco Lodola, Giuseppe Maraniello, Franco Mazzucchelli, Gianfranco Pardi, Giuseppe Spagnulo, Aldo Spoldi, Mauro Staccioli, Marco Tirelli, Anna Maria Tulli, Massimo Siragusa and Antonella Zazzera.
What is BAG. Università Bocconi has always been dedicated to providing students not only with professional knowledge, but also preparation in aesthetic insight as well. This is why the Bocconi Art Gallery was founded in 2009, with the idea that exhibiting contemporary works of art on the University campus does not only enrich the area, but also promotes culture. BAG currently contains over 60 works of art provided on loan and replaced every 18 months. But, along with the pieces on loan, BAG's permanent collection has increased over the past two years. In addition to Colonna by Arnaldo Pomodoro, which has been located at the entrance of SDA Bocconi for years, Cancellazione del debito pubblico by Emilio Isgrò, donated to the University by collectors Andrea Manzitti and Cristina Manzitti Jucker, and wall paintings Take Me To The Beach and Monterey Blvd by Marco Casentini, donated by Ettore Buganza were added in 2011. Art and artists. Paintings, installations, sculptures and photographs by 35 artists are hosted in campus classrooms and hallways. Pieces include Arnaldo Pomodoro's Papiri, Enrico Castellani's and Agostino Bonalumi's shaped canvases, Emilio Isgrò's Cancellazione, Marco Casentini's colorful wall paintings and Christiane Beer's ceramic paintings, Carlo Bernardini's. The events. Three days of appointments, from 16 to 18 May, to celebrate art while listening to music, sipping a cocktail with artists and gallery owners. On 16 and 17 May, at the presentation of pieces by Isgrò (Monday 16 May) and Marco Casentini (Tuesday 17 May), a happy hour with DJ sets by Radio Bocconi will follow, and then two evenings dedicated to Beatles music, with the presentation of the musical put on by Bocconi students and a concert by the Beatles tribute band, The Moondogs, as well as a swing band, the Color Swing Trio. The highlight will be held on 18 May: campus will be open to the public, with guided tours offered by AIM (the Association for Metropolitan Interests), a happy hour with 21 artists and an evening dedicated to jazz with the Bocconi Jazz Business Unit accompanied during jam sessions by several outstanding musicians: Stefano Bagnoli (drums), Giovanni Falzone (trumpet), Bebo Ferra (guitar), Enrico Intra (piano), Emilio Soana (trumpet), Paolo Tomelleri (clarinet and alto sax) and Tino Tracanna (tenor and soprano sax).
