Annual Monitoring of Study Programs

The Annual Monitoring of Study Programs represents a crucial activity within the framework of the Quality Assurance (QA) system of teaching. This process aims to guide those responsible for managing Bocconi Study Programs and their respective Review Groups in the systematic analysis of performance through a selection of specific indicators, concerning:

  1. teaching;
  2. internationalization;
  3. academic progress;
  4. satisfaction and career prospects;
  5. faculty consistency and qualification.

This evaluation helps identify CdS strengths and areas of improvement. From these assessments, targeted corrective actions or enhancements may arise (monitored for implementation by the Quality Assurance Committee).

The monitoring process involves the Review Group analyzing values within a detailed table containing statistical indicators about active Study Programs. These indicators, provided by ANVUR annually in July, are evaluated against specific reference benchmarks. These benchmarks include averages of other CdSs within the same class provided by the University, averages of other Universities in the same geographical area, and averages of all Italian Universities. If benchmark values fall below the reference benchmarks or if negative trends are observed, the Review Group identifies improvement actions. These actions are discussed within the School Councils and monitored for implementation by the Quality Assurance Committee.

Once completed, the Annual Monitoring Reports (SMAs) are reviewed and approved by the respective Program Committees. They are then transmitted to the Quality Assurance Committee, which uploads them to the ANVUR Quality Portal. Additionally, they are sent to the Deans of the Schools and the Student-Faculty Joint Teaching Committees (CPDSs). They are also shared with the University Evaluation Unit for further consideration and evaluation.
