The Forum aims to position Bocconi Law School as a leading platform for the modernization of legal education. It will bring together legal AI companies, leading law firms, major legal employers and Bocconi faculty members to discuss the standards that should guide the education of future lawyers for an AI-enabled profession.
Law firms and other major employers of lawyers will play a central role in the discussion, since it is in these professional environments that the transformation of legal work is already visible: in the training of lawyers, the organization of legal teams, client expectations, quality control, professional responsibility, and the interaction between law, technology, tax, audit, compliance and governance.
The ambition is not merely to introduce AI tools into legal education. It is to ensure that future lawyers learn to use such tools critically, responsibly and intelligently, while preserving the doctrinal, methodological and ethical foundations of the legal profession.
In this first meeting of the Forum, some of the leading players in AI services for lawyers will come together with our faculty members, including the directors of the Bocconi Law School's degree and LL.M. programs, along with a number of our alumni, to critically discuss the responsibilities and limits of the use of these tools and their impact on the future of the legal professions.
