More than 1,000 fatalities a year: a recurring emergency that risks becoming acceptable. Strong laws are not enough: targeted prevention, technology, tackling undocumented work and better training are key. Time to move from outrage to structural action.

From the control room to emergency teams and regular drills, Bocconi will present its integrated system for prevention and emergency management on World Day for Safety and Health at Work on 28 April. The day will include a campus-wide evacuation drill and, at 9am, the installation of a new defibrillator donated to the University, adding to those already available across campus
