Vendramini Program Chair of AOM's Public and No Profit Division

, by Fabio Todesco
Effective in 2013, the role preludes to the position of Division Chair of the Academy of Management

Emanuele Vendramini (SDA Bocconi and Università Cattolica di Piacenza) has been elected Program Chair of the Academy of Management (AOM)'s Public and No Profit Division (PNP) at the AOM Annual Meeting (Boston, 3-7 July). He'll be Program Chair in 2013 and, following AOM governance rules, Division Chair in 2014 and 2015 and Past Division Chair in 2016. It's the first time an Italian scholar reaches the position.

Vendramini has already covered important roles in the division, such as member of the Board as international liaison in 2007-2009 (contributing, along with Elio Borgonovi, to the establishment of the Masini Award) and, in 2010-2011 Coordinator of a task force for the design of the five-year strategic plan of the division.

"The faith given to Emanuele Vendramini by the most prestigious international management network is a notable acknowledgement of the synergies created by two Italian universities which are leading the process of internationalization of the national academic system", Elio Borgonovi says.
