Vedaschi Elected to the IACL Executive Board

Arianna Vedaschi, full professor of comparative public law in the Department of Legal Studies at Bocconi University, has been elected to the Executive Committee of the International Association of Constitutional Law (IACL). The election took place during the IACL World Congress, held last July in Bogotá.

“I am deeply honored by this appointment,” comments Arianna Vedaschi. “I consider it an important recognition that highlights not only my academic career but also the work carried out by the Italian academic community, and I believe it also reflects well on our university, Bocconi.” The IACL is one of the most prestigious scholarly associations in constitutional law and brings together scholars from approximately 90 countries. The fact that the Italian candidacy received unanimous support is a source of particular satisfaction, especially at a time when the international academic community is rightly committed to promoting an increasingly broad and inclusive representation of the world’s various geographic regions.”

During her term, which will expire in 2030 and may be renewed only once, Vedaschi will coordinate research groups that will carry out various activities, ranging from seminars to workshops, from scientific research to reports and collaborations with international organizations.

“The first board meeting I will attend will be this coming November in Warsaw, a city particularly exposed to the current difficult geopolitical situation.”
