Sports and Games for the Bocconi Community

, by Davide Ripamonti
Three sporting and recreational events at the Bocconi Sport Center reserved for university faculty and staff. Upcoming dates: March 18 and 25

“Now it's our turn.” With a not-so-veiled reference to the recently closed Olympics, Bocconi University’s managing director, Riccardo Taranto, officially opened the first edition of the Faculty & Staff Sport Games, an event that includes a packed program of sports and recreational activities reserved for the Bocconi community which marks an occasion to get involved and share moments of fun through individual and team activities. The first event took place at the Bocconi Sport Center on Wednesday, February 25, and saw colleagues-athletes compete in table tennis, table soccer, indoor rowing (demonstration of the relay race on rowing machines), cornhole (a popular throwing game in which teams or individual players throw fabric bags toward a slanted wooden platform, aiming at getting them into a 15 cm hole or placing them on the platform); Dodgeball (a team sport played with five foam or fabric balls. The goal is to eliminate all opponents by hitting them on the fly or catching their throws, allowing teammates to return to the game).

The next events will be on March 18 and 25, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., with the following schedule:

March 18: Table tennis; Swimming; Table football; Cornhole; 3x3 Basketball; Rowing Challenge; Volleyball

March 25: Table tennis; Volleyball; Table football; Wheelchair Basketball; Cornhole.
