Sixteen Classes for a Reunion
Last year, they came from Buenos Aires, Brazil and Canada. For this year's edition the organizers have already received confirmations from California, Dubai and Moscow. So the MBA Reunion 2014 organized by BAA and SDA Bocconi ( May 16 to 18 ) again promises to welcome alumni from all over the world. This time it's 16 classes from 1979 to 2014 coming home to Bocconi for three days of training and networking. On stage, among others, will be Corrado Passera, Bocconi Alumnus of 2001, Luca De Meo, Director of Marketing for the Volkswagen Group and the Volkswagen Passenger Car Brand, and Toni Belloni, Group Managing Director of LVMH.
Once again this year, then, the focus is on the desire to strengthen the sense of community of alumni through a concrete gesture. The MBA Reunion Scholarship fund has been established, created so that SDA Bocconi can dedicate one or more MBA scholarships worth 46,000 euro each to deserving students . The fund is the evolution of the MBA Reunion Scholarship 2013, which thanks to donations from alumni and the support of the BAA, Angeline Chen Lihong was enabled to attend the MBA without incurring any costs. "Participating in this initiative," says the president of Bocconi Alumni Association, Peter Guindani, " is a tangible sign of our shared commitment to support the education of citizens who contribute to the future development of the country."
This sense of community is evidenced by the words of two alumni who crossed the planet to attend the 2013 edition. "I realized that to take part in the MBA Reunion was a unique opportunity to meet with my colleagues in the MBA 23. So I decided to cancel a number of commitments and buy a last minute ticket to Milan, "says Cesar Righetti , who arrived from Sao Paolo and was honored among those who have come from far away (9200 km). Like him is Marcio Moraes Marciano Da Rocha (MBA 18), who brought his Latin-sounding name all the way from Oakville, Canada: " Rediscovering old friends and the way of life in Milan was not only nice, but it was a great cultural experience for my wife and my children.
