Simone Lonati, a New Assistant Specialized in Penal Procedure
A former research affiliate in Penal Procedure of Università Bocconi, Simone Lonati enters the faculty in the academic year 2012-2013 as an assistant professor for the Department of Legal Studies. A lawyer of the Milan Bar, Lonati obtained a PhD from Università degli Studi di Ferrara and was an assistant in Penal Procedure also at Università degli Studi di Pavia, where he graduated and where he collaborated for a long time with the Penal Procedure Chair held by Vittorio Grevi.
He has focused his research activity on various aspects of the penal procedure, paying a particular attention to the issues ofevidences and appeals and to the principles of fair trial elaborated by the European Court of Human Rights.
Besides several publications in various journals and miscellaneous works, he published the monographic work Il diritto dell'accusato a "interrogare o fare interrogare" le fonti di prova a carico. Studio sul contraddittorio nella Convenzione europea dei diritti dell'uomo e nel sistema processuale penale italiano (Giappichelli Editore).
