Seven Lessons for Seven Programs

, by Susanna Della Vedova, translated by Richard Greenslade
Starting on 31 January, the cycle "Your first lesson" is dedicated to students in the last years of high school. They will get a closer look at the various programs offered, and experience the challenge of university-level course content

Seven lessons for seven degree programs , six in economics (two of which in English ) and one in law, are what Bocconi's Guidance and Recruitment Office has organized starting Friday 31 January. They are aimed at students enrolled in the fourth and fifth year of high school who are curious to find out what and how to study at Bocconi.

The cycle " Your first lesson ...", will bring future students to university classrooms once a week for an afternoon of educational orientation meetings devoted to different subjects, presented by University faculty and course directors.
The initiative, now in its fifth year, involves more than 600 students each year , but for over a decade the Guidance and Recruitment Office has been offering educational counseling through meetings devoted to taking a deeper look at university- level course content.
"Our experience ," says Stefania Bianchi, Director of the Students Affairs Division at Bocconi, " has brought us over the years to offer high school students opportunities to " live " the university life and acquire realistic knowledge about the subjects that are studied at Bocconi . These afternoon lectures are very useful opportunities to make a motivated choice of university: motivation and passion for the field of study are the main factors of success in university programs."
This type of lesson allows students who attend to explore not only the main areas of study in economics and law, but also to grasp the differences between the various degree programs, in order to ensure a more rational and informed choice with respect to their personal aptitudes and expectations.
Classes are held at Bocconi in the afternoon starting at 2:30pm.
