The CERTET Director discussed a project to link Europe and Asia

A project to create an infrastructure corridor and trans-Eurasian development which connects Vladivostok to Moscow and Vienna: this was discussed by Lanfranco Senn, Director of the Center for Research on Regional Economics, Transport and Tourism (CERTET) at Bocconi, during the meeting of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences, held on 11 March. Senn, who was, together with the Chinese scholar Li Xin, the only foreign expert invited, was asked to evaluate the idea of the project and a future collaboration with Bocconi.

"The project," says Lanfranco Senn, "is based on the reasoning that Asian Russia represents the largest part of the world that is not yet valorized. According to the Russians, creating this corridor would have a powerful integrating role between Asia and Europe, contributing to preventing the area's axis of development from shifting towards the Pacific."
