Riccardo Monti (BCG) Is New President of Bocconi Alumni Association
Riccardo Monti will be Pietro Guindani's successor in the role of President of the Bocconi Alumni Association, the association that brings together all Università Bocconi alumni. Riccardo Monti, President of The Boston Consulting Group Italia, will hold the office for two years. He will lead an organization that includes 52 Chapters in the most important cities around the world and 26 Areas in Italy, which is a point of reference for over 90,000 Bocconi alumni in Italy and abroad. Before being appointed President by the General Assembly, Monti held the role of Vice President of the association.
"I would like to thank Pietro Guindani for the excellent work he has done during his years in office, for his leadership that has strengthened the Association in all aspects. It is a great honor to accept his baton and continue along the track that has allowed us to reach finish lines we did not dare imagine," says the new President Monti. "We will continue to build upon what has been achieved thus far to lead the BAA to the excellence of the best international associations."
"Being President of the BAA has been a unique and truly gratifying experience," remembers Pietro Guindani. "I would like to give credit to everyone who has participated in and contributed to the growth of Bocconi Alumni. First, to the University, who created a united association; secondly, to my companions on this journey: leaders, board members, activists and members. Special thanks, with esteem and affection, go to Gianfranco Minutolo and his team, who have expressed dedication and skill without parallel. A big thanks to Bruno Pavesi and his people, the President and Rectors of the University, who believed in the role of the Alumni and who gave us the true sense of our actions: working for a mission greater than just the Alumni community, i.e., for the development of the University."
"The alumni represent a fundamental asset for Università Bocconi, both due to their tangible and constant support of their alma mater, and due to their values and skills that they are able to spread around the world," says the Rector of Bocconi, Andrea Sironi. "With its activities over the years, the Bocconi Alumni Association has been a key element in the process of the university's internationalization."
Riccardo Monti, who received an MBA from the SDA Bocconi School of Management, began working for BCG in 1990 in Paris, to then transfer to Zurich and, in 1993, to Milan. In 2005, he was appointed delegate managing director of The Boston Consulting Group Italia and from 2010 to 2013 also for the Mediterranean system extended to Greece and Turkey. Since 2014, he has held the role of President of BCG Italia.
